Man wanted in relation to assault and strangulation investigation

He is known to frequent the Deddington, Adderbury and Banbury areas

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the our help in locating a man who is wanted in connection with an assault and strangulation which happened on Saturday March 28.

Thirty-six year old Tony Bertrand is known to frequent the Deddington, Adderbury and Banbury areas, along with Rugby and Northampton.

During the incident in March police believe Bertrand assaulted and strangled someone known to him.   The victim required medical treatment after sustaining a fractured wrist.   She has since been discharged from hospital.

Bertrand is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair, a thick beard and green eyes.

Anyone with information about Bertrand’s whereabouts is asked to call 101, or make a report online quoting reference 43260185368.   He should not be approached but instead a call made to 999 if spotted.
