Motorcyclist dies in collision on A4260

Witnesses are being sought following fatal accident between Adderbury and Deddington
A female motorcyclist lost her life in a road accident on the A4260 between Adderbury and Deddington on Saturday afternoon (1st February, 2020). The accident occurred around 2.50pm.
The motorcyclist was riding a black Honda motorcycle and was involved in a collision with a white Ford Transit and a black Dodge pick-up. The accident happened by the lower exit from the layby off the A4260 near to the Oxfordshire County Council depot and the recycling area.
The rider of the motorcycle, a woman in her twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigating officer, PC Sandra Terry, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, based at Bicester, said: “My thoughts are with family and friends of the motorcycle rider who sadly died in this incident.
“I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who has any information to please come forward.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, to check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation”.
It is understood the family of the motorcyclist have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The A4260 remained closed for a number of hours following the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, or make a report online, quoting reference 43200036456.
