MP to join Energy Crisis forum for Banbury business leaders
A panel of industry experts will be at a Question Time style event on Thursday
The second in a series of “Making Sense of the Energy Crisis” forums will be held this Thursday evening and Banbury’s MP is set to join a panel of industry experts at the event.
Organised by the Banbury and District Chamber of Commerce, business leaders will be able to join in a Question Time style session as the part of a plan to create a movement for sustainability and address the impact of climate change within businesses and the local area.
On the panel MP Victoria Prentis will sit alongside Tracy Smart from The Smart Team, Derek Hettenbach from Better Business Connections, Tammy Marrett from Green Savvy, John O’Brien from LCMB and Jo Maskin from Cherwell District Council.
The event, which is being held at Lock 29, is open to all local businesses with free places for Banbury Chamber members.
Neil Wild, Chair of the Banbury Chamber, said: “We are facing challenging times and too often businesses struggle on their own to navigate their way forwards. The Banbury Chamber is keen to offer this forum, with others to follow, to create a supportive environment with experts on hand to offer guidance both for the short and long term, to help businesses save costs and align their business plans with our country’s objective for net zero emissions.”
This is the second event the Banbury Chamber of Commerce has organised in the wake of the energy crisis. Working together with other local stakeholders, they aim to create one strong voice for the local business community, with the forums an opportunity for local businesses to share their experiences, be informative, and raise the business communities’ concerns with local and central government contacts.
Tickets for the event are available here.
