Sainsbury and Brackley Medical Centre both reported problems

One of Brackley’s main supermarkets was closed on Wednesday morning due to a network issue, which was also affecting the nearby medical centre.

Shoppers arriving at the Sainsbury’s store on Wellington Road were greeted with a sign saying the store was shut.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “Our Brackley store is temporarily closed due to a network issue.   We are working hard to reopen as soon as possible and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

“Customers can continue to shop with us online or visit our Banbury store, which remains open as usual.”

The nearby Brackley Medical Centre was open but reported they had no internet or telephone system.   Appointments were proceeding as usual. The Centre reported their problems were resolved shorlty after 12.30pm.
