Cinderella: A Musical Pantomime will be on stage during Half Term week
You might associate pantomimes with Christmas, but the Avocet Theatre Company are hoping to persuade you otherwise as they take to the stage with their latest production in a couple of weeks.
Cinderella: A Musical Pantomime features a cast of over 30 adults and children, promising an original twist on the classic fairytale, packed with big laughs, dazzling numbers, and clever jokes – for both kids and grown-ups.
The production follows last year’s run of Nativity the Musical, which sold out months in advance and received standing ovations at every performance.
Ben Coleman, the Chairman of the company, said: “[Avocet Theatre Company] has built a reputation for creating fun, joyful, and inclusive community theatre, and this show really is a celebration of that. It’s full of heart, packed with brilliant performances, and it’s been such a joy to create alongside such a talented group of people.”
Ben, who also appears as one of the Ugly Sisters in the show, says there is something for everyone in Cinderella: “This cast is a joy to work with. It’s not just a pantomime, it’s a real team effort from a community of volunteers who love what they do and love entertaining local audiences.”
Cinderella runs at the Wykham Theatre during Half Term week from Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st May.
