Robbery at Warwick Road store by man believed to be carrying a knife

The image of a person police would like to speak to has been released

A man who was believed to be carrying a knife threatened staff in a Banbury store before stealing tobacco and cigarettes.

The robbery took place at Quick Stop on the Warwick Road at about 7.30am on Friday (May 2).

When the man left the store he headed towards Foundry Street and the Southam Road Cemetery.

The staff at Quick Stop weren’t injured during the robbery.

Thames Valley Police has released the CCTV image of a person who they believe has vital information about the robbery.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sophie Smith said: “If anyone knows who this man is, or has footage from Warwick Road, Foundry Street and around Southam Road Cemetery, please contact the force.

“You can contact us by calling 101 or leaving information via our website.”
