Seeking individuals and groups to Pace Around the World
15/04/2026

The aim will be to collectively cover more than 40,000 miles in 30 days
Individuals, businesses and community groups are being encouraged to sign up to a new virtual fundraising challenge taking place this June, in support of Katharine House Hospice.
The initiative is titled Pace Around the World. It will see participants work together to collectively cover more than 40,000 miles in 30 days – the equivalent of travelling around the globe.
Organisers say the challenge has been designed to be accessible, allowing people to take part in a variety of ways including walking, running, cycling, swimming or wheeling, with every mile logged contributing to the overall target.
Funds raised will support the hospice’s work providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across the region.
Roseann Thompson, Community Engagement Manager at Katharine House Hospice said: “Pace Around the World is all about coming together to do something and has been designed so that everyone can take part.
“Whether you walk, run, wheel, cycle or swim, every mile you log helps move us further along our journey, all while raising much needed funds for Katharine House Hospice. It’s flexible, fun and you can take part wherever you are, at your own pace.”
Early bird registration is available until April 24, with further details and sign-up information accessible via the hospice website.
