A suspected shoplifter has been arrested in Banbury town centre after officers discovered a stash of stolen goods hidden nearby.
Members of the Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol on Monday when they spotted a man acting suspiciously. A search of the local area uncovered items concealed in a bush, including food products.
The man was detained and found to be wanted for several other shoplifting offences. He has since been charged and remanded in custody.
