Significant amount of cannabis found at Banbury High Street property

A raid took place on Wednesday after intelligence was received

Police have raided a cannabis farm which had been set up in a building in the heart of Banbury town centre.

The force had received intelligence that cannabis was being stored at a property in the High Street.

They entered the building on Wednesday and found what has been described as “a significant amount of cannabis”.   This was seized.

Banbury FM spoke to one witness who saw police vehicles parked up in Pepper Alley, with officers entering the rear of a High Street property from there.

So far no arrests have been made, however arrest attempts for linked suspects are planned.
