Practices remained open and the problem was resolved by late morning

A number of our local GP surgeries were hit by an IT issue this morning. Whilst practices remained open as usual some disruption to patient appointments was anticipated.

The problem affected access to clinical systems, leaving the surgeries unable to manage appointments, access medical records, and process prescriptions.

The Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board issued a message saying: “We apologise for any inconvenience and we are working with our IT team to fix these issues as quickly as possible.”

The problem was resolved by late morning.
