Suspected drugs found in car abandoned at country park

Police seized suspected drugs after discovering an abandoned vehicle during patrols at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park last Saturday.
Officers from Warwickshire Police said the car had been left insecure when it was found by officers carrying out proactive patrols in the area.
While making enquiries to identify the registered keeper, officers discovered 16 bags containing suspected drugs inside the vehicle. These were seized and will be destroyed.
The driver has since been identified and is arranging collection of the vehicle.
Officers said regular patrols are carried out at the country park using intelligence provided by the public to help target police activity. Residents are being encouraged to report concerns through 101, the force website or by calling 999 in an emergency.
