A witness appeal has been launched following the April 8 incident

The family of a “courageous and strong mum” who died following a vehicle collision at Wiggington Heath have paid tribute to her.   Shelley Hallam lost her life on April 13 following the incident on April 8.  She was 60.

A silver Honda Jazz and a red Mini Cooper were involved in the collision at the junction of Rye Hill and Tadmarton Road at around 6.51pm.

In a statement Mrs Hallam’s family said: “We are all completely in shock at the sudden passing of Shelley.

“She was the most kind and amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was courageous and strong, and always thought of others before herself.

“She was inspirational and had such a positive impact on everyone whose life she touched, however fleetingly.

“There are no words that can describe the loss we all feel and she will be desperately missed.”

Thames Valley Police have arrested a woman in her twenties from Chipping Norton on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.

They are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
