A very warm welcome and hot drinks will be available

A number of support groups are coming together in Banbury tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday) to help those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

The event will be held at the Marlborough Road Methodist Church where the Banbury Larder meet regularly on Tuesday afternoons.

This week they are teaming up with Age Friendly Banbury and a number of other partners to offer visitors access to support services for those struggling financially.

Representatives from Cherwell District Council will be on hand with information on the services they provide, and advice on warm spaces and the food support available in the district.

Other organisations attending include the Citizens Advice Community Help Information Point team, representatives from the Department for Work and Pensions, Age UK Oxfordshire and the Banburyshire Advice Centre.

Bee Myson, Age Friendly Banbury Co-ordinator said: “Everyone is very welcome.   We’re running alongside the Banbury Larder and there will be a very warm welcome and hot drinks available.”

The event runs from 2pm through until 4pm.
