Sean Woodcock reaffirms his commitment to the constituency
This weekend marked the second anniversary of Sean Woodcock’s election to serve as the Member of Parliament for Banbury. He described it as the honour of his life.
Mr Woodcock overturned decades of Conservative control in our area, becoming the first ever Labour MP to represent the town.
The role has given him the chance to work with residents, community groups and businesses while gaining a better understanding of the area’s challenges.
Mr Woodcock said: “Despite being born and spent most of my life here, I have encountered new things and I have learned so much from the people I have met.
“I know from my casework that there are lots of things that need improving.
“Whether it is housing, health, education, benefits, transport, and local services.
“I remain committed to providing support to anyone who contacts us for assistance.
“The last few weeks and months have been topsy turvy to say the least and I know the importance of stability in a world that sometimes seems chaotic.
“But as I pass this milestone, know that I remain focused on continuing to serve the constituency, supporting local communities, and addressing the issues raised by you.”
