Vehicles destroyed in arson attack on Banbury estate

Police say the reckless and dangerous incident should not be underestimated

Two vehicles have been destroyed in an arson attack on a Banbury estate.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to Ironstones in Hardwick at around 2am yesterday morning (April 22) after a vehicle was set on fire.

The vehicle set alight was a red Vauxhall Astra.   The fire then spread to a nearby white Citroen Relay van.

Investigating officer PC George Wiffen said: “This reckless and dangerous incident of arson should not be underestimated. It is a dangerous criminal act and can cause devastating consequences.

“I would like to hear from anybody who has dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell camera footage that has captured the incident to please contact us.
