Four men dressed in dark clothing had targeted the Oxford Road property

A car was stolen during a burglary in Banbury which happened in the early hours of last Saturday morning (June 6).

Four men dressed in dark clothing targeted a property on the Oxford Road between 5.45am and 5.55am.   When they left they took with them a light grey Volvo XC90.

The victim was woken by voices and saw the four men around her vehicle, which they took from the rear of her property along Lucky Lane.

The stolen car, which has a partial registration of WD75, has since been recovered by officers.

No arrests have yet been made.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage from the area, to come forward, quoting reference number 43260282589.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Chris Eaton said: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen four men acting suspiciously, or who noticed a Volvo XC90 with a partial registration of WD75 being driven in the area at that time.”
