New rules at Community Fridge to enable facility to stay open
11/01/2021

Organisers ask users to help them stay open as long as possible
Banbury Community Fridge is instigating a number of measures in the face of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions to ensure the facility can stay open.
The venture, which is based at the Mosque in Merton Street, takes unwanted food from local supermarkets and makes it available to the local community.
Community Fridge organisers are asking everyone who enters the mosque car park to wash their hands at the sink adjacent to the mosque entrance. They say that only one person from each car should leave their vehicle and this should be an adult.
To avoid contamination visitors are asked to take just four items and to carry these away rather than placing them in bags.
Banbury Community Fridge says “We would like to stay open as long as possible and you can help us do that by adhering to government guidelines.”
