21-year-old man seriously injured after collision
A cyclist has suffered life threatening injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Banbury on Wednesday evening (May 5). The incident happened at the junction of Beesley Road and Orchard Way.
The 21-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The collision occurred around 11.30pm between the cyclist and a black Vauxhall Corsa.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.
Investigating officer Sergeant Linford Baxter of the Joint Operations Road Policing Unit, based at Milton Keynes, said: “This was a serious collision which has left a man with serious injuries.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or saw the black Corsa being driven prior to the collision to please get in touch with police.
“I would also ask any drivers who were in the area to please check their dash-cams for any potential evidence, and contact police if it has captured anything that can assist this investigation.
