Banbury duo release Christmas song

The Racing Sloths have released their festive offering Come Over Santa

A Banbury man who felt there were no good new Christmas songs has taken up a challenge by his wife to write one himself.   Adam Robinson from Longford Park penned the words to Come Over Santa but didn’t know how to write music at the time.

He found a perfect song writing partner thanks to the pub quizzes he hosts for the Coach and Horses in Banbury.   When these went online during lockdown Adam met Steve Moss from Deddington who shared his love of music and football and just happens to be a composer.   Steve agreed to put a tune to Adam’s words.

Together they are the Racing Sloths.

Adam said of their partnership: “He’s the Elton to my Bernie!”

During a song writing course Adam met a producer who agreed to work on the track.   The result is the Racing Sloth’s very own new Christmas song.   Come Over Santa is out now.

Adam said: “Obviously my aim is international stardom!

“But locally I would just like it played a little bit and people to recognise it as a decent song.”

Come Over Santa is available to download and on major streaming platforms.
