Public exhibition of plans to build up to 30 homes on Kings Sutton farmland

Developers will be present at meeting to answer questions about their proposals
Villagers in Kings Sutton will get to learn more about plans by developers to build on a farm field outside the current village confines at a public exhibition today. Rectory Homes have told the Parish Council they want to submit an outline planning application to create 30 new homes.
The field sits next to the new properties on Hampton Drive on the Little Rushes estate, and to the north of Blenheim Rise.
In justifying building outside the current built up area of the village Rectory Homes told Kings Sutton Parish Council: “The intention is to develop roughly half the site for housing with the remainder used for the creation of new open space, habitat creation and other ecological enhancements.”
Plans show the site would include around 30 houses of which half would be “affordable” homes, as stipulated by local planning policy.
Haddenham based Rectory Homes delivered a presentation to the Parish Council on July 21. Today’s public exhibition is being staged by the Parish Council with representatives from the company present to seek local public opinion.
Rectory Homes has not yet formally applied for outline planning consent.
The public exhibition runs between 4pm and 8pm at the Millennium Memorial Hall and people can drop in at any time during this period.
