This Saturday is Garden Party day in Banbury and everyone is invited.   Balloon artists, face painting, prizes, drinks and cakes are all included in the event which will celebrate the launch of the town’s new tourism website Experience Banbury.

Between 10am and 4pm you can enjoy a special Ban-berry milkshake created by Sheila’s Shakes and enjoy a complimentary drink and cake whilst relaxing in the deck chairs at St Mary’s Church.

As part of the website launch there will be a number of prizes that can be won including bowling with food for a family of 4 at Banbury Bowl, £40 voucher to spend at Sheila’s Shakes and a chance to brew and bottle your own beer with the experts at the Hook Norton Brewery.

Events start at 10am and will continue until 4pm, traders within the town are getting into the spirit of the event and providing opportunities to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

The organiser from Banbury BID, together with the balloon and face painting artists will be in the Market Place.   Banbury FM will join them to broadcast from the event.

The Garden Party sits alongside the entertainment outside Lock29 which will include a dog agility course marking the shopping centre’s move to becoming a dog friendly location.

Banbury BID manager Yolanda Fletcher said: “We’ll be celebrating the launch of the new tourism website – experiencebanbury.co.uk, but really it’s a celebration of the town opening as well.   Hopefully the sun will be shining.   It should be fun.”
