A witness appeal has been launched after a woman lost her life in a traffic collision on the A361.   The accident happened near Williamscot on Monday last week (August 9).

The victim was a woman in her forties.   At around 8.30pm she was driving a red Ford Focus northbound along the A361 at Williamscot Hill when she skidded into the path of another car.

The woman sustained serious injuries and sadly died on the way to the hospital. The driver of the other car – a dark green Toyota Landcruiser – did not sustain any injuries.

Investigating officer, PC Gareth Miles, of Road Policing based at Three Mile Cross police station, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who very sadly died as a result of this collision. They are being supported by officers at this very difficult time.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210356323.
